Drum Blondes on a musical mission arrive in Leeds!
Exciting female percussion duo, the Drum Blondes, return to The Carriageworks on Sunday 1 November on a mission to entertain people of all ages by banging things with sticks!  Formed at the Royal College of Music by Claire Hasted and Emily Morris in 2004, The Drum Blondes have been playing percussion for over 15 years - playing anything from dustbins to goats toenails!

The Drum Blondes have performed throughout the UK and are experts at packing all their instruments into one car! When they arrive in Leeds they will perform an exciting mix of music, including  Board Games by Joe Tompkins, Black and White Rag by George Botsford, Londonderry Air (traditional) and Invention in D minor by Bach.

Claire and Emily have undertaken projects with numerous organisations including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Proms and the RCM Higher Education Summer School. They have appeared at the National Portrait Gallery, Wigmore Hall and the 40th floor of the ‘Gherkin’ building in London!
Leeds International Concert Season’s programme of events for families includes plenty of fun ways to introduce children to live music in concert, so bring all of the family for more fun than you can shake a stick at! Claire and Emily promise that there will be plenty of opportunities to join in so bring something noisy too!
Tickets for The Drum Blondes are priced £6 for adults and £4 for children and other concessions. To book, call the Box Office on 0113 224 3801 or book online at www.leedsconcertseason.com. The concert starts at 3pm.
