Drum Blondes on a musical mission arrive in Leeds!
Exciting female percussion duo, the Drum Blondes, return to The Carriageworks on Sunday 1 November on a mission to entertain people of all ages by banging things with sticks! Formed at the Royal College of Music by Claire Hasted and Emily Morris in 2004, The Drum Blondes have been playing percussion for over 15 years - playing anything from dustbins to goats toenails!

Pudsey Civic Hall welcomes Leyland Band
On Sunday 8 November, Leeds Best of Brass brings the Leyland Band to Pudsey Civic Hall. Having always fostered a strong sense of originality, the ensemble was the first western brass band to tour Japan and has undertaken four coast to coast tours of the USA in the last decade. The Band’s Pudsey programme will include Rock Around the Clock, Rossini’s La Cambiale di Matrimonio and Abba Mia, conducted by the Band’s Musical Director, Jason Katsikaris.

Young Classical BRIT Award Winner performs at The Venue
After a stunning opening concert featuring clarinettist and Artistic Director Emma Johnson, the second concert in the French Impressions series from Leeds International Chamber Season features young violinist Chloë Hanslip with pianist Charles Owen.
At just 21 years of age, Chloë has already established herself as an artist of distinction on the international stage, winning Young British Classical Performer at the Classical BRITS in 2003. She will perform two pieces by Ravel – Sonata and Tzigane – in an evening celebrating French works for violin and piano from the 1870s onwards.
